Welcome to the home of
Cadette Girl Scout Troop #6 and Brownie Girl
Scout Troop #1. We are a combined troop with about 12
girls in each troop. We have a wonderful time having
such a wide age group. The younger girls really look up
to the older girls and the older girls really love doing
things with the younger girls. We are based in the community
of Roswell, New Mexico, home to about 50,000 people and a few
space aliens.
We are very active in helping out our community. Our
big service project for this year is remodeling a room at the
local battered women's shelter.
Many of us have been together since Daisies. We just
bridged to Cadettes and Brownies this year. We had 16
Cadettes earn their Junior Bronze Award last year (as
Juniors).
We had quite a summer this year traveling to Orange County,
CA, Camp Mary White, Wet & Wild, White Sands and more!
Now
the big project we are trying to complete is the remodeling of
the room at the Roswell Refuge for Battered Adults. We
are working hard to complete it for Make a Difference Day!
We have been river rafting on the Animas in Colorado,
enjoyed the River Walk in San Antonio, TX, saw the sharks at
the Aquarium in Albuquerque — and we are not done yet!
As we grow older, the possibilities are endless.
